If I haven't already told you, this is the temporary favorite show until Doctor Who comes back...well, this and Torchwood. But mostly this.
Top Gear is a car show hosted by three men who do ridiculous things with cars. Why is this my new favorite show? Well, for one, it's got cars...it's like a mix of monster garage, a talk show, product testing, and an interesting soundtrack. Two, they've got a portion called "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" where famous celebrities get a reasonably priced car and race it around the Top Gear track to see how fast they can complete it. Both Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper have been on it. (Chris had a time of 1:52:4, Billie had 1:48:3, though she kind of got lost on the track and missed 'the hammerhead') AND SIMON PEGG (1:48:5). AND EDDIE IZZARD(1:52). And uh...Simon Cowell...who's actually an amazing driver. Three, they've used Muse songs and songs from the LOTR soundtrack.
Really, what's not to love? It combines Muse, LOTR, Doctor Who, Simon Pegg, Eddie Izzard, and doing ridiculous things with cars!
